If you are known to the District Nursing team you can contact them at the Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre on 0141 304 7411. If think you need to see a member of the District nursing team for the first time please see your GP who can arrange this.

GG&C have launched a new ‘Call the Midwife’ service which allows you to contact a central booking office. If you have just found out that you are pregnant please call 0141 232 4005 to make your initial appointment. Alternatively you can make an appointment with a GP who will refer you to the midwife. The midwifery team are located in the Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre.

The Health Visitor team are located at the Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre. Phone 0141 355 2301. The team carry out immunisation clinics at the Turret Medical Centre weekly.
How do I…arrange for travel vaccinations?
If you are going to travel abroad and you think you may need immunisations please ask at reception for a travel form. Once you have completed this an appointment will be arranged with a GP one week later. This allows the GP time to review your
notes and work out the immunisations you need. Only some immunisations can be given on the NHS in GP practices. Your doctor will advise if you need to attend a specialist travel clinic for any immunisations.

You can self-refer to podiatry by telephoning 0141 304 7430. If you are housebound your doctor may need to refer you for a home visit. Please note that NHS Podiatry staff no longer carry out routine foot care. You may need to source a private Podiatrist for such services.
